Children Welcome
On a Big Cottage holiday, there’s something for everyone and all ages. That’s because we know that, if your family is happy, then so are you. There’s the heated outdoor swimming pool, masses of space to run around, and seven acres to explore. In fact, different spaces and places for all ages.
We’ve cupboards filled with toys and board games and nooks and crannies ideal for curling up and reading, or playing.
There's a massive 50” surround-sound TV with well-stocked video and DVD library. We’ve got satellite TV with Disney channels and wireless Internet facilities (bring your own PC).
Baby and Toddler Pack
Our pack includes a high chair, cot and safety gates. Toddlers will enjoy the ride-on toys and swings. There are also beakers, bowls, plates and cutlery for your children.
Children
For slightly older children, there’s the adventure playground and games room. We’ve bags of toys, boxes of Lego, Brio railway and dressing-up clothes.
Teenagers
Teenagers will love the games room with pool table, table tennis and table football - they’re separate enough from the house to have fun and get away from younger siblings, yet close enough to stock up on drinks and nibbles. They’ll also be thrilled with the chance to tackle adventure activities at Rob Ireland Country Pursuits. If they want to unwind, they’ll enjoy the heated pool. And, if they’re feeling like teenagers sometimes do, there are plenty of spaces to escape to.
Everything for Parents Too
You want to enjoy your children’s company, yet not have some of the worries of hotel living. That’s why we provide cots and high chairs and cover all electrical sockets with plug protectors. We provide stair gates, fire guards for our log-burning stoves, and baby monitors. We want you to enjoy the huge spaces your House has to offer without worrying you may not hear your children. The hot tub is lockable and the pool is surrounded by a picket fence. Even mealtimes are easy - not only can you work to your own timetable but you can order food in advance to cut down on shopping.
Babysitting/nannies
Our experienced nannies are in terrific demand - so please contact us well in advance if you’d like to arrange an evening’s babysitting, or a day’s childcare for your children.
We also offer the ‘Country Kids’ option, where you can choose to hire a nanny for a day or more, while you explore the area and rediscover your spouse. This will keep your children happily occupied in our grounds on treasure hunts, or inside with bags of toys, games and books.
