Our gardens are designed by top Cotswolds-based international garden designer, author and broadcaster, Paul Williams. They combine the best of English country-house tradition with contemporary planting and style. Wander out from the Oak Room to spend a quiet moment or gather with family in the beautiful courtyard garden. It offers a a perfect, secluded sun trap, sheltered behind big yew hedges. Pass through the courtyard garden gate to the pool terrace, and to the games room which is just round the corner of the Oak House.
The two reception rooms both open onto a huge terrace offering stunning views down the valley and across to rolling Cotswold hills - perfect for evening drinks, barbecues and al-fresco dining .
The Stable Garden Suites, in the old stables, look out onto their own cottage garden, with a patio area.
The cottage is set in seven acres of grounds. Beyond the main gardens are two large paddocks, one containing the adventure playground. In the winter, sheep and cattle graze here. In the summer, the grass grows long, creating lovely summer meadows - perfect for hide and seek.
The paddocks slope gently down to the wild meadows and the brook which meanders along the boundary of the grounds. For parents' interest, the brook is several hundred metres away from the house, and is separated from the adventure playground paddock by a fence. Walk down to the bridge and enjoy an age-old game of Pooh Sticks.
