Garden & Grounds

Our gardens are designed by a top Cotswolds garden designer. They combine the best of English country-house tradition with contemporary planting and style. The cottage is built around a beautiful courtyard garden, offering a perfect sun trap sheltered behind big yew hedges. The courtyard garden has a gate through to the pool terrace, and also gives access to the games room, just round the corner of cottage. 

The property is set in seven acres of grounds. Beyond the main gardens are two large paddocks, one containing the adventure playground. In the winter, sheep and cattle graze here. In the summer, the grass grows long, creating lovely summer meadows - perfect for hide and seek. The paddocks slope gently down to the wild meadows and the brook which runs along the boundary of the cottage grounds. For parents' interest, the brook is well away from the house, and is separated from the adventure playground paddock by a fence.
