There is lots to do close by.

The area around the house is 6000 acres of countryside, much of it ancient woodland and an area of special scientific interest. The lakes in the forest below the house are within walking distance. 

The village of Bewdley, described as the most perfect, small Georgian town in Worcestershire and set in a rich and rolling landscape is nearby. Tuck into some fish and chips from award winning Merchant Fish Bar, famous for its quality fish and chips.

Wharton Park Golf course can be viewed from the house, perfect for a spot of golf.

West Midlands Safari Park is close by, with a huge range of attractions. With over 100 acres and a four mile safari trail there are rare white lions, tigers, elephants and much more to see.

Sample some Cadbury chocolate at Cadbury World, find out how chocolate is made and ride on the magical Cadabra ride.  

For great fun and nostalgia, hop on a steam train at Bewdley station on the Severn Valley Railway. Enjoy great scenery and a relaxing journey along 16 miles of track. 

Go Ape is a few minutes drive away, in the Wyre Forest, for high wire fun among the trees.  A tree top climbing adventure, climb 30ft up a rope ladder, tarzan swing, tackle high wire rope bridges and finish off with the zip wire.

Spend the day at Dudley Zoological Gardens and Castle, home to some of the world's biggest, rarest and most exotic animals including Asiatic Lions, Sumatran tigers, lemurs, penguins, chimps and orangutans.

 A little further afield are the towns of Worcester, Ludlow, Warwick and Stratford-upon-Avon.
