West Beach

Just a few minutes walk from the house is West Beach, a sandy stretch of beach where you can enjoy a classic English beach holiday or weekend away.

Bournemouth Beaches

Bournemouth has seven miles of beautiful golden beaches, voted the best in the UK.  From West Beach you can walk to the Pier, where there is always plenty to see and do, head West to Sandbanks, for beautiful white stretches of sand, or stroll East to Boscombe, Bournemouth's trendy new surfing area.

Boscombe Surf Reef

The newly completed Surf Reef is making Boscombe a mecca for surf lovers of any ability.  Head over to the Surf School and hit the surf - wet suits and surf boards all included.

Studland Bay

Across the ferry from Sandbanks are the beautiful, unspoilt beaches of Studland Bay, all owned by the National Trust.  Corfe Castle is close by and well worth a visit.

Watersports

Every type of watersport is available close to the house: swimming, surfing, body boarding, kayaking, sailing, kite surfing - you can even take a trip in a high powered speed boat.

Attractions and Days Out

For a fun-packed day out, you are spoilt for choice.  Top attractions include:

• Strolling pier to pier along the promenade, from Bournemouth to Boscombe
• Enjoying the pier, gardens, shops and restaurants in Bournemouth
• A visit to Corfe Castle and the Purbecks
• Monkeyworld, home to over 240 primates of all kinds
• The New Forest, where ponies roam freely in the woods
• Go Ape at Moors Country Park - test your nerve high in the trees!

Food and Drink

You will find great pubs and restaurants close to the house in Bournemouth town centre, Westbourne, Boscombe or Poole.  If you prefer to stay in, we have the services of a well known local chef on offer - or you can order an online delivery from one of the local supermarkets and cook up a feast yourselves.
